With the American cultural and political landscape facing challenges not seen before, discussion about the U.S. Constitution may be more relevant than ever.

Wyoming Humanities and Wyoming We The People will present “The Citizen & The Constitution” across the state in the coming weeks, featuring constitutional expert Dr. David Adler.

All events are free and open to the public, and each program begins at 7 p.m.

• Sheridan: Monday, Sept. 12, Sheridan High School

• Casper: Wednesday, Sept. 14, McMurry Career Studies Center, Room 160, Casper College

• Jackson: Tuesday, Sept. 20, Jackson High School

• Cheyenne: Monday, Oct. 10, Central High School

• Laramie: Tuesday, Oct. 11, Arts & Sciences Auditorium, University of Wyoming

At each location, Adler will lead a lively conversation about the Constitution, the founders’ goals in creating a constitutional republic, and the importance of rule of law. The event will include questions and input from local high school students participating in the “We the People” program. The audiences will also have an opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with Dr. Adler during the event.

Adler will also have classroom time at each location to meet with students and discuss these constitutional topics.

“Our mission is to promote a deep and abiding understanding of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights among our students and citizens,” said Matt Strannigan, director of Wyoming We The People. “With our non-partisan program, we’re incredibly fortunate to have these conversations with Dr. Adler.”
